I am a widow who misses all the little romantic things a man does - hugs and kisses for no reason, a smile when he first sees me, holding hands and phone calls just because he is thinking of me. I truly believe that small gestures help to build a solid foundaton for a romantic relationship. I would like to meet someone to share life's pleasures with each day.

I have been retired since March of '08 and I love it!!! Have been going to the gym three mornings a week with a trainer since I retired. I also bought a bicycle and am trying to get my sense of balance and my stamina for riding back. I am not an exercise fanatic; I just want to stay healthy and be able to enjoy life.

I am a very outgoing person and very content and happy with my life. I am usually on the quiet side and reserved until I get to know someone but then I really open up and show my usual happy go lucky self. I always try to see the best in all people and situations. I do volunteer work and have found that I always receive back much more than I give.

My first love is travel, especially Europe. My favorite type of travel is river cruises. River cruising is the most relaxing way to travel and the best way to meet the local people and see small towns while being comfortable and relaxed.

I love going to the theater, especially in New York. However, I am just as comfortable in jeans and a sweatshirt as I am in a formal gown.

I love being around water - the ocean, a lake, a stream. I love to relax in front of a fire and just enjoy each day as it comes. Have also been thinking seriously of learning to golf and wouldn't mind meeting someone who has the patience to teach me.
I also like football and hockey and sometimes baseball.

I have two grown children, both of whom are married and settled in their own homes. No grandchildren yet but hope they will come along sometime in the future.
