Profiles seem to be a bit like Want Ads, so here’s mine.

WANTED:
- One of the good guys (they say good guys always finish last, but they’re first in my book)
- A serious relationship seeker who will make time for dating and the progression of a relationship (If you're "too busy," then my response to your lack of time will be: "Don't make someone a priority who only makes you an option" ...UNKNOWN)
- A gentleman who knows how to treat a lady, is socially competent, intelligent, and can be classy or sophisticated if the occasion calls for it
- A true romantic who enjoys holding hands, moonlight walks, candle-lit dinners, and passionate kisses
- A health conscious individual (nothing wrong with a few extra pounds, but if you're obese or haven't seen the inside of a gym in years, we probably aren't a match)
- A man still young at heart with a good sense of humor, has a playful side, can be spontaneous, and has a zest for life (isn’t a couch potato)
- Best friend who will accept me as I am and not try to change me
- Someone with no kids living at home on a permanent basis or they are over 16
- An old fashioned idealist who will take his time to get to know me and let a relationship develop slowly/naturally (not in a hurry to become bed mates)
- A man who is emotionally/financially stable (translation: I support myself, and expect a man to do the same) and has minimal baggage (I’m not a baggage handler)or any transmittable diseases
- Mutual physical attraction with a single or divorced guy (you're not just separated)
- Ultimate goal is to find true love for Long Term Romance

IF YOU ANSWER THIS WANT AD, YOU CAN EXPECT THE FOLLOWING:
- Intelligent and socially well-rounded lady comfortable in many types of social settings
- Independent woman who served 21 years in the Air Force, owns her own home, has a good job, has no baggage and leads a healthy lifestyle (I do go to the gym 3-5 times a week, but I'm not a size 5, and how many women over 40 really are?)
- World traveler who loves experiencing new cultures and is always up for new adventures
- Appreciator of art & theater, concerts, and nearly any type of music
- Someone who enjoys nights out on the town and quiet, intimate evenings at home
- A warm-hearted individual who is very affectionate, romantic and loving

This may not be the typical profile format, but I think it covers the bases of stating what I’m looking for and a little bit about me. There may be more bullet statements under the “Wanted” section, but Maureen Dowd said it best:

“The minute you settle for less than you deserve, you get even less than you settled for.”

If you take advantage of the Email and IM features of this site, you should already be somewhat acquainted. So why not do something more relaxed and with less pressure where you can still talk, get to know each other better, but have fun in the process… like maybe bowling, miniature golf, have a couple drinks, or a comedy club? That's more interesting than a coffee meeting.
