Hi :) I recently moved to South Florida from Melbourne, and I don't know a whole lot of people down here. I'm working on my Ph.D. in biology at FIU, so I don't have a ton of free time, but I definitely wouldn't mind finding some enjoyable company. I need a good (and cute!) partner in crime to share my free time with :) I'm not looking for anything too serious right now...unless someone REALLY catches my eye. I don't expect a whole lot from this site, but I wouldn't turn down a good thing if it came my way.

In my free time, I'm usually out fly fishing, SCUBA diving, hitting the gym, or just relaxing on the beach. I love the great outdoors. I am a Pisces, so I'm happiest in or near the ocean. I'm a big fan of being barefooted (Haha...I can deal with flip flops when a situation calls for appropriate footwear). Sure, it sounds dorky, but I'm all about laying on the beach and watching the stars on a beautiful night. My friends say I'm a pretty good cook, but you'll have to make that call yourself. There's nothing better than a fantastic meal and a bottle of wine in good company. Of course, I don't cook for just anybody...only special people get that privilege :) The bar scene isn't really my thing any more, but the right outdoor bar with good live music can be fun....and fun is always a good thing :)

I'm old enough to have learned a bunch of valuable life lessons, but young enough to still put those lessons to use. I put a lot of pressure on myself and go to bed wayyyy too late. I'm dedicated and passionate about things that are important to me. I try to make myself a little bit better person every day...hopefully someday I'll get there!! I can be sarcastic, and honest to a fault. I'm a procrastinator, and I constantly run a few minutes late...but I'm getting better. Trust is everything to me...I don't have room in my life for dishonesty or drama. I like to surround myself with genuine, reliable friends. I'm slowly starting to realize that love might be a work of fiction. I love to talk. I love to listen. Maybe I'm just a little bit of an old school romantic. Nothing makes me happier than bringing smiles and laughter out of others. I've learned to put all of my cards out on the table...what you see is what you get. Take it or leave it!! :)

I know it's kinda blunt to say, but I'm not really into "typical" south Florida girls. Fake, shallow gold-diggers...sorry, but that's just not my thing. It would be great to meet someone else who shares my beliefs and can keep up with my sarcasm (maybe someone who's fed up with the "typical" south Florida guys!!). I'm definitely attracted to thin, athletic girls who care about staying in shape. That said, looks only matter for first impressions. In the end, it's conversation, wit, sarcasm, and smarts that win me over.

I'm sooo done with typical first dates :) I'd rather do something non-traditional on a first date, like check out a park, local festival, museum, or zoo. A little walk on the beach would be nice too. I know these aren't your usual "dinner and a movie" first dates, but I think they provide a much better chance for conversation. When two people spend an entire evening talking, it's really easy to tell whether you've found your match!!
