I like the quiet, and really do not mind being alone, much. I am an artist, potter, sculptor, & painter, singer/ songwriter, and guitar player. I built my own home from salvaged lumber, and I am proud of the results. I was an art teacher for 27 yrs, but am retired now. I left early because I wanted to be able to enjoy the rest of my life. (that ain't the whole story)

First date would probably find us in a coffee shop, and talking about whatever we found to talk about. A quiet walk in a picturesque setting, perhaps under an umbrella in a soft rain, or on a beach in the bright sunshine. I really think that a lady should pick a place that she feels comfortable and safe when she is meeting a man for the first time.
