I have three sons that are all grown up and a granddaughter that was born in 2008 (finally got a girl ;) Majority of my friends are in their 30's and 40's. I'm at a point in my life where friends are very important to me, especially since I don't live near my family. I do have a lot of friends and a very active social life. It's been a long time since I have been in a relationship, so I decided to go online. I do make friends very easy and can fit in just about any group of people. I am not a jealous or controlling person and do not like to hang around others that are. I feel that trust, communication and respect are very important in all relationships. I don't play games and I'm pretty straight forward. I do have a very good sense of humor and have a commonsense. It doesn't take me long to figure things out. I was married about half my life and been single for 8 years. I am interested in a man that cares about the way he looks (doesn't have to be gorgeous, sometimes the more you know someone, the more attractive they become), one that is confident (not arrogant), honest, caring and has some of the same qualities, interests and outlook on life as I do. I think it is important to be true to yourself and be accepted as the person you are. I try to look at the positive side of everything and try to enjoy life as much as possible and be thankful for everything and everyone in my life. If you are emailing me and don't have a picture attached, I won't be emailing you back. After all, the only reason that you are emailing me is because you liked my pictures ;) If you are interested in me, you will have to email me. I think the guy should be the first one to email ;)

Now that I have been online dating for a while, a few things come to mind. I am not interested in a guy that has already given out roses to someone (meaning, he's probably not over the last one). If we should meet and like each other, it's only fair to be upfront about this online dating. I don't want to be dating someone that is seeing a bunch of other women (any future with that person is doomed from the start, it's hard to get to really know someone with so many distractions). I am very trusting, until someone gives me reason not to. I feel honesty is always best and if you have things to hide and can't be upfront, I'm not interested. I am deleting everyone that puts me down as a favorite, so don't take it personally. I really don't have the time to email someone back and forth when it's not going anywhere. I would rather meet someone after a few emails/phone calls and see if there is any chemistry.

I think the first date should be all about getting to know each other. Meeting for drinks would be good for conversation.
