I have to say I have not had much luck with this site, but I am updating my profile to reflect what's been going on with me lately :) I know there are some great guys out there & hopefully, this will catch the eye of one who might think the same of me! Don't be shy & best of luck to all.

Well, to start, since I have only about 4yrs full-time left with my incredible son before he (or I) leave the nest, my time with him is priceless. I love kids & welcome them into my life. That being said, I am also ready, after being single for 3yrs, to find my partner/lover/best friend, someone to share every day with, the mundane & the extraordinary, to help figure out life together, someone with whom I can laugh & grow. When the kids fly away we will be left to our own devices ;)

Some Priorities: My lifestyle/creed is holistic, green,& organic as much as possible, I just believe that being kind to the Earth can only be good for us :) Recently, I bought a 12 week share in a local farm, can't wait for all the fresh veggies to start coming in!

Things I like to do: Cooking dinner with friends/family; going to plays, museums, farmer's markets, quiet talk over a glass of wine/beer, wandering....camping, biking on the local trails, long walks with the dogs, the never-ending home-improvement projects!! I just bought a canoe & am looking forward to taking it out soon :)

Future short & long-term goals: learning to practice meditation, MSN in nursing. Traveling in the USA & internationally. I am interested in living in other states as well as other countries short or long-term. One goal after my son is grown is to do some "mission"-type nursing such as in 3rd world countries & do travel nursing around the U.S. While in the Air Force, I traveled all over the globe but have not seen much of my own country. I dream of having a partner for these adventures!

What I'm into at the moment: listening to personal growth CD's while driving in my car. Right now, I'm listening to The Power of Now by Eckert Tolle.

Over the summer,I just passed the exam and became certified in Medical-Surgical Nursing, a nice feather in my cap. I'm still currently an RN at the VA Medical Center here in g'ville.
