The name is Jamie. A friend suggested this website to me and I mainly stick around for the forums and friends. I'd still love to meet new people, though. Just note I'm not interested in dating every guy that sends me a message.

I have a son named Landon. He comes first, as it should be. I will not waste my time with someone who cannot respect that.

I have a degree and am working on another in education at AUM. I'm hoping to teach high school government and economics as soon as I get it. I also fully plan on getting my masters and maybe even doctorate so I can teach at the college or university level. As for now, I'm a teaching assistant and a substitute teacher. Basically, I'm a professor/teacher without the higher prestige and higher pay.

I'm really passionate about politics. I'm an ultra conservative and I'm pretty much guaranteed not to get along with any liberal despite how hard I could try. Sorry.

I'm a moderator for a Freecycle group. I volunteer. I support our troops, ASPCA, Libertarians for Life and the NRA. I'm an adamant anti-abortion activist. I frequently visit a homeless veteran and buy or make him meals, wishing I could do much more for him and others. I'd also love to be a counselor for a pregnancy crisis center.

My dog really is my best friend. Our daily peaceful walks with him by my side and Landon on my back really couldn't make me any happier.

What am I looking for? I could say "I'm looking for someone who is intelligent, funny, attractive, with a beautiful laugh and a smile that could light up a room" but what would be the purpose of that? Who isn't looking for that? Who would really say "I'm looking for someone who is dumb, melancholy and ugly with a laugh like Hillary Clinton's and a smile that could break glass?" So instead of stating the obvious, I'll leave you with this:

C'mon guys... the beach? Seriously? I love the beach. I love walking on the beach. Yes, I really can't think of anything better than a first date that consists of walking on the beach having a great conversation with a great guy or maybe even some beach volleyball... but I live in Auburn, Alabama for crying out loud. The closest beach is what, a four hour drive? That'd be an awkward road trip. Maybe. But then again, I love road trips. That may be a little much though. You think? Basically... stop getting my hopes up. We aren't going to a beach. I'm really fine for anything.
