| | Well, a friend told me that I might find you here. I’ve looked in many places for you, but I cannot find you.
I thought I saw you breeze by in the supermarket, but it wasn’t you. I even lingered in the produce aisle until just a moment before it started to look weird, but I did not find you.
I’ve looked for you at friend’s weddings, but you did not attend.
Was that you I saw at dim sum?
I thought I glimpsed you at the bank….the pub…the gas station. I’ve been keeping my eyes open for you.
You see, the problem is that I do not know what you look like. Nor do I know what you do…what interests you…what you aspire to. What I do know, however, is that I will know you when I finally meet you. You will be the one that makes my insides feel like they are made of just-about-set jell-o (preferably green jell-o…I kinda like green jell-o).
You, of course, are intelligent, independent, and incredible (to me, at least). You are also ambitious…not necessarily in a corporate climb-the-ladder type way, but in a living-life way. You are personable, and you are comfortable in a variety of settings, from a high end restaurant, to a schlubby old pub. You enjoy your black dress every bit as much as your (or my) work shirt. You can talk to an attorney or a professor as easily as you can talk to a framer of a labourer.
I really like that way that you are as comfortable in an urban scene as you are in a rustic sleeping-in-tent-in-the-mountains scene.
Of course, you also know what you want in a fella. I am pretty much hoping that you are looking for a guy who has his act together with all that entails: own house, solid career, etc…a guy that is done with the heavy party scene, but still enjoys good times on a more mellow scale…everything in moderation, including moderation!!
I like that fact that you are looking for a guy that writes “dating” on the profile, but really means “long term” if dating works out the way we want it to.
You also know that if you'd like to see a photo, then all you have to do is contact me. There's the "no photo, no reply" camp...they are the descendents of the "no shirt, no shoes, no sevice" pioneers.
