I guess I’ll start by getting a few of the likely deal breakers out in the open. I’m a very liberal, very non-religious guy. I find religion fascinating and enjoy learning about it and discussing it, I just don’t buy into it. I have long hair that I wear in a ponytail, so if you’re looking for a clean-cut snappy dresser, I’m not your man. Jeans or shorts and a t-shirt are more my style, although I can step it up a bit as required. And then there’s the sports thing. As a general rule I find sports to be completely useless, so if you spend your weekends watching football, basketball, or hockey (and actually enjoy it), we probably won’t have much in common.

I am for the most part a vegetarian. I do eat fish and dairy (ice cream, mmmmm). I like to read, mostly non-fiction with a little bit of fiction mixed in. I’m also a music junkie. I listen to a little bit of almost everything, and like getting turned on to new music and seeing live bands in small venues. I try to knock out one or two 14ers every year, but beyond that I’m not much of an outdoorsman. I would like to do more light hiking, and try snowshoeing in the winter. I also really want to do more traveling soon (recently returned from Germany, which was awesome). Mexico, Greece, and the U.K. are all on the short list.

I’d like to meet an intelligent, peaceful, health conscious, attractive woman. The intelligence part is really key. I prefer a woman who can challenge me intellectually and keep me engaged. I don’t care how much money you make, but I do care about what you do to make it. Your values will be important to me, so if you value profits over people, we probably won't be a good match. Oddly enough, your religious beliefs are not all that important to me. As long as you are not an extremist and don’t feel the need to change me, there wouldn't be a problem.

Maybe coffee or a smoothie followed by a short hike or a walk in the local park. Browsing a book or antique store is always fun. Really any reasonably quiet environment where we can have a conversation will work.
