Life is good! I have a good job and one beautiful child who lives with me.
I'm an optimist - I try to see the humour and beauty in everyday events.
I like staying in shape and playing outside.
Family and friends are important.
I don't like negativity, racism, sexism, far right thinking or arguing incessantly.
That sounds negative... scratch that.

A good stereo is more important to me than a big screen TV - faves include: U2, Blind Melon, The Waterboys, the Beatles, Ravi Shankar, Sarah Harmer, Celso Machado. I enjoy live music, am considering satellite radio (any advice?). I read.

I'm liberal in my outlook but think I have fairly traditional values. Honesty and respect for others are core values as is looking for the humour during life's challenging moments. I'm spiritual but not religious.

I could watch the stars all night (yes, Im a bit of a dreamer).

I don't golf (have parents that do). I'm learning to play ice-hockey or rather, I'm re-learning how to skate (I have sooo much respect for professional players). I've travelled more outside Canada than in; would love to see the other side of this country (never been except to fly over) and explore more of BC. I love desert climates.

I'm not a "shopper" unless garage sales and second hand bookstores count.

Life goals? Canoe the Bowron lakes, learn another language, take a drama class, run a half marathon, spend a month in Tuscany, learn to snow-board, haven't seen the pyramids yet...

Enough "I" statements -

You are a dad, interested in meeting someone to have fun with but not get too serious about until you discover whether you genuinely like the person/have shared passions (yes, passion is important!!). You enjoy getting outside, laughing, friends, family, music, don't take yourself too seriously, work hard to play, think it is important to "do the right thing", and are not intimidated by someone who has a busy life (there go half of you...), enjoy a beer or glass of vino once in awhile (now you've come back...) but don't need it to have a good time and are NOT into chemically altering your mind except via sleep depravation to watch a once-in-a-lifetime meteor shower.

Road trip to the interior? Maybe coffee first.
