I'm a 39 year old professional who likes to live an active, healthy lifestyle (with my two weaknesses being nachos and wine, usually). I have a pretty good sense of humor, but I like to poke fun mostly at myself which helps me to take life less seriously, at times. Those closest to me would agree I can be funny, but likely would also, respectfully, agree I tend to often mess up the final punchline to a joke...which in the end makes us generally laugh anyway...lol. I'm a huge animal lover and have been known at gatherings to whip out my camera to proudly show pictures of my two over-sized felines (where appropriate of course). (Hunters and animal dislikers need not respond...lol).I enjoy hiking and biking also but equally enjoy a walk on the beach or staying in to watch a movie. I love dressing up for a night out (oh...and did I mention that I love to shop!). I enjoy having the opportunity to try out a new pair of shoes or a handbag and head out for a drink. I like to bake, but hate to cook. My specialty for supper after a long day at work and the gym tends to be cereal and fruit. Some might agree I'm a better listener than a leader of a conversation, though I believe I have an ability to lead just perhaps in a less obvious way. In a partner I'm looking for someone who is athletic. I also value humor, honesty, integrity, confidence (not to be confused with arrogance) and a man who acts on what he says. I'm at a place in my life where I am looking for someone I can envision a future with...so if you're not in that place, I'll probably be too much work for you...lol... though I believe when something is truly worth having, it does take effort. While I have filled my life with many friends and my career, I've realized I am missing that special someone who makes me feel a little more alive, makes me laugh at the simplest things, drives me crazy, at times, but whom I'd rather not live without. Chemistry, attraction and a genuine respect for each other are essential and more important to me than financial prosperity or trips you can take me on. I can be impressed with a person's success, but its still not a deciding factor for me on who I spend time with. At the end of the day I want to be relaxed, comfortable yet ecstatic with the person lying beside me and equally as happy and content to wake up next to him.....not a small task, I know. I do like to find things to laugh about every day and do my best to find the positive side of things...life is just too short for too much negativity.

I am not looking for an intimate encounter or to date a married man (discreetly or not) so please save both our times if that is what you're into. I am not looking for a man in his twenties either or someone who uses drugs. I do not see having children of my own in my future, but would still happily meet someone who already has children.
