About Me
From the seaside hills of California to the strands of North Carolina, the beach has been one of the great joys of my life...just not as much fun without someone interesting to kick around with! I've enjoyed gettting aquainted with different gals from all over and I'm open for some casual dating, but making life with a lover is what I've always lived for. Otherwise, I do like being physically active and I'm looking for someone who enjoys the same.
Though I've learned to do various trades, I can't say that I've made a career for myself. In other words, no trips to Europe or early retirement here! Somebody say road trip? I do love to get around when I can, quick trips to the beach, an occasional foray to Austin and looking forward to visiting South Padre Island. I would love to see the Pacific NW too. Oh, yea, the botox thingy...I restore and retrofit classic cars but when all is done, well, let's just say that in many ways they are still old cars with issues! lol
While I mostly listen to pop/rock from over the years, my favorites are all over the place from Percy Faith's "Theme From Summer's Place" to Geroge Strait's "I Just Want To Dance With You." I don't much care for rap, but even Ludacris found a soft spot in my heart with his silly song, "Rollout."
Though I'm very socialable, I keep a small group of friends. I can get emotional, but don't let things get the best of me. I'm quite giving and sensuous on a personal level. After all, a happy camperette helps make for a happy couple. Did I mention that I like to communicate too? I've always known just how important it is to a good relationship and yet our best moments have had no need for words...go figure!
Kind of established in my situation right now, but I'm not set on staying here. So, moving in the foreseeable future certainly isn't out of the question. Even if I really don't want a long distance relationship anymore than the next person, I'm not shy about looking beyond my neck of the woods for a great connection. I've got good notions about what works for me and I'm quick read of chemistry...so please don't take it personal if I drop in, but don't hang around long.
There you have it, my two cents worth! Can that still get me a piece of gum???

First Date
Twas the night before Christmas, when all through the web Not a pop up was stirring, not even my head. My coffee was breeming with steam in the air, In hope that my love would soon be there.
Dogs and cats all nestled on my bed, While visions of flavored toys danced in their heads. And neighbor in his 'jamas, and I in my gown, Had settled our brains for a long winter's crown.
When out on the web threre arose such a clatter, I woke from my daze to see who was the hatter. Away to the inbox I flew like in a hurry, Tore open the message and read with a furry
The emoticon on the scene in jester with a crow, Gave humor to the silly greeting below. when, what to my fast beating heart should it appear, But a brief text, and like interest so dear.
With a bit of humor, so lively and quick, I knew in a moment that he must have shtick. More rapidly than junkmail his oneliners came, And he hee'ed, and haw'ed, and finally asked my name!
"Now Susan! now, Jane! now, Kimberly or Rene! Come Rachel! come, Nichole! is it Taylor or Michelle? In your reply, with another pic too, Do tell all, because I want to know you."
Out the door we are eager on our way, When we meet with a smile, in a little cafe. Down the menu our hunger eyes drew, We want our cake and eat it too!
He was dressed all warm from limb to limb, And his style was sheek, with a bit of whim. Romantic words were his nack, And he looked in my heart for something back.
His smile-how it gleamed! his eyes so fairy! His voice was like music, his mood so merry! His arms gestured with stories to know, And his roar of laughter put on a show.
He spoke many a word, but ne'er a bore, And filled my night, like never before. And touching his hand aside my face, And drawing me near, how it made my heart race!
And then, in a inkling, I heard his grunt The gesturing and positioning for his next stunt. As I pulled my hair, and and tried to catch his eyes, To my lips came the most wonderful surprise.
He reached for his keys, to our cars we made our way, And away in the night soon to be day. But I heard him exclaim, 'ere he closed the door, "Happy Christmas to all, and to all a good-night!"

 | This is a man that I have come to respect and admire through this past year.
Our Friendship started out slow and has built to something I will always treasure.
We have the three things I think are vital for a lasting for any type of relationship.
Trust, honor, and respect. I believe people are brought into our lives for a reason
this man was brought into mine to remind me to be young at heart always.
If I had a wish for you it would be to have wisdom to see the gifts that life brings,
to take the time to enjoy life to the fullest, to have someone treasure your gentle and
kind heart as you deserve. Be happy my beloved friend.
