I have to admit, I've given this a bit of thought and regardless how i phrase what I've felt is a true reflection of my personality, it never comes across in this medium.

So, I'll go with the "things i know for sure" - lists are good!

I know that i am not the best at dating, and i don't plan on making it a profession either! With luck I'll find that special someone and the agony of "dating" will be over.

Eventually I'd like to get married, have/start a family (or add to one), grow old and see the kids have grandkids. But, alas we have to meet first and not let the pressures of what we'd like to have happen rule the moment.

People that know me well would say that I'm sarcastic (in a funny, off the cuff sort of way), generous and loyal. Frankly, sounds like i would make a good pet...rest assured I'm well trained and won't chew your expensive Italian leather shoes.

Like most people, I'm a busy person however will make time and effort for the right lady. I won't settle for just anyone, nor would i expect the same from my partner. That being said, we're human and this isn't a soap opera where the problems of the world can be solved in 40 or some odd minutes (depending on the number of commercials during that 1 hour show).

I remember reading a good quote (although i can't recall the author) it went something like - the best of relations are based on simple understandings and minor compromises.

random thoughts -> yes Victoria might have a 4 to 1 ratio of females to males...but, no one tells you that 3 of the 4 females are over the age of 55! (no offence meant to the over 55 crowd).

Meet for a coffee, take a walk and chat and just get to know one another. After you've met a few times you can set up something more romantic once you've established there's some mutual interest.

Given it's the holiday season, everyone is busy with getting together with friends and family. I'm sure we can touch base, chat through a few e-mails and then work on meeting up sometime in the new year.
