About Me
I am originally from southwest Louisiana (Lake Charles, to be exact), and have lived in Tampa, Florida for the past 10 years. I have just recently relocated to Los Angeles and so far, I love it. Yes, I'm a bit overwhelmed by everything, but I'm very happy that I decided to make the move.
Everyone asks me, "What brings you to L.A.?" and honestly, I have no idea. I didn't move for any particular reason other than I wanted to make a change in the direction that my life was going after my divorce and I simply wanted to start a new and exciting chapter in my life. So, as soon as I found a job, & with about a week's notice, I packed a few things into my VW Beetle and I headed west with my little chihuahua, Priscilla.
Now I'm living in Hollywood and still spend my time sitting in shock and awe just trying to wrap my head around the whole experience. Which is what has brought me here... Basically, I'd love to meet a new friend, hopefully a local, who could show me around this enormous city and just give me the 411 on how things work around here. Or, maybe I could meet someone who is new in town just like me and we can sit in shock and awe together. Either way, I'm ready to see the sites and have some fun. A little more about me... I love music and was a singer in a rock band back in Florida; I'm an elementary teacher for special needs children but until my credentials are switched to California, I am working as a nanny for an awesome family here in Hollywood; I was previously married for 9 years and have no kids, however I do want children someday; I'm an Aries, therefore a little chaotic and hard to handle at times, but very passionate and fun. Anything else you wanna know, just ask.
First Date
I don't really have a preference about what to do... especially since I'm not from around here. But whatever it is, as long as the conversation is stimulating and the music is good, we'll have a blast! Let's just grab a 6-pack and sit on the side of the road and get to know each other. If you can make me laugh, it'll be a great date as far as I'm concerned.
