This is the story about a man who once dreamed of being in show business. His love of music was so strong, and the desire to entertain people and make them happy so satisfying. Well, I didn't make show business my career,but, I continue to enjoy singing,and entertaining whenever possible. Too bad I'm too old to tryout for American Idol. It would have been quite a happening to say the least.

Nonetheless, my life has been fulfilling in other ways. I served my country both in military and civilian capacities,which helped mold my personality,and broadened my perspective on life. Each day is a precious gift,and I accept people for who they are. I am sensitive to the pain and suffering of people in the world,and strive in my own way to lend a hand when possible.

Friends and family have described me as a person who sets high standards and possesses high moral fiber. The best way I can describe myself is down to earth,non-judgmental,easy-going,compassionate,non-materialistic,trustworthy, passionate and romantic. I have always been loyal to those close to me, and lend a helping hand in anyway possible. These are the qualities I am looking for in someone who is not afraid to accept me as I am,take a chance in life,and share in wonderful times we can have together.

Now that I am retired and living alone, I am a person who likes to have fun and good times,especially with someone who shares some or most of my interests. My musical tastes include oldies,60's,70's, standards, broadway, salsa,and a little bit of country. In fact,I recently saw Neil Diamond, Tina Turner,Chicago and the Doobie Brothers,just to name a few favorites. My love of sports includes the NY Yankees, and NY Giants. It has been awhile since I 've been to Atlantic City,or away for a weekend,or travelling to new places and some old favorites like Cancun,Cape Cod,and Florida. Believe it or not, I have never sailed the high seas on a cruise. Quiet times at home with the right person,watching a good drama,horror movie, or a comedy,as we need laughter in our lives,is just as enjoyable.

A first date should allow two people to just be themselves. Communicating one's thoughts,ideas,and desires is the key to determining if a connection has been made.My suggestion would be dinner at a place where time is not a factor.If there is music and dancing to make our time more enjoyable, I am easy to please and open to this idea.
