I'm fairly young at heart and I like to make an effort to look good (but I'm not mutton dressed as lamb). I like to have a laugh but can also have serious (not mean and moody!) moments.

I've got a great family, some wonderful friends and the best dog in the world; I am very happy but as it says at the top: it would be nice to have a man to share some of the happiness with.

I suppose ideally, I'm looking for someone independent (don't mean without responsibilities - someone who takes their responsibilities seriously would be a bonus!) and intelligent (don't mean paper qualifications but capable of conversation about at least a couple of things would be great) with a similar (positive) outlook to me. Would like to meet a real person in person (not just email, text, IM, etc...).

While I respect everyone's right to live their life how they want to, I don't smoke and would prefer a non-smoker. I also don't do/want 1 night stands or casual/no strings relationships.

I'm really not into mind games or being strung along (I wouldn't do either to you) so someone honest about their wants and needs would be refreshing.

Share a pot of tea and anecdotes for an hour or so and see how it goes
