About Me
I can be an enigma, constantly in a state of evolution. I don’t follow trends; rather beat to drum of my own design. I am a voracious reader, and read everything I can get my hands on, from a classic novel to the back of a cereal box, but my favorites are in the fantasy genre—I wonder if that is a sign of living in a fantasy world? I enjoy most types of music, classic rock, alternative, blues, but right now I am really enjoying some nice folk/bluegrass I came across. I like milk with cookies, wine with steak, beer with wings, and margaritas with someone special. Oh, not that I drink a lot of alcohol; my favorite drinks are good coffee, and great tea. I have a quick wit, and lean towards sarcastic, without being hurtful. I like classic architecture and modern art, outdoor activities from whitewater rafting to meandering through mangroves in a rented canoe. Exploring old world streets on weekend trips, Savannah and St. Augustine are favorites. Florida is nice, but where can I enjoy both the beach and the mountains? You will find that I create as many questions as I answer. Eastern philosophy, incense, candles, and college basketball. History fascinates me as much as what is possible in the future. I ride my bike, crash into trees on my rollerblades, and prefer a fat Harley—although I am currently without one—with my face in the wind, and the occasional bug in the mouth, to my car. I enjoy kid’s innocence, dog’s wet noses, and cat’s independence. I am adaptable; I can go from playing in the mud, to a dinner at the Ritz, after a shower, of course. I like coffee and a book on lazy mornings; snuggling up for a nap with my favorite person during a thunderstorm, and I have never met a cheese I didn’t like. I like to cook, but hate doing dishes. I enjoy learning; it is a life long endeavor that does not stop outside of school. Yoga exercises the mind as well as the body. And Kermit the Frog is my hero.
First Date
I enjoy any good company, from the Bohemian artist type to a driven professional. What really matters is the persona behind the outward facade. More import that what I am doing, is who I am doing it with. Even if it hurts more in the short term, HONESTY is a must. Long talks about nothing, or short intense discussions of issues, just be honest to me and to yourself. I think that the little things do matter. If they are addressed, there are often less big things that develop from them. Feel free to express yourself, but be willing to allow me the same.
