I'm a native born Texan (in Illinois, alas) and decided to put this profile up for the hell of it. I love to be active and do anything outdoors, shoot pool, I am an avid backpacker and camper (real camping.. tents and such) and do just about anything. I am also a martial artist and have been for about 15 years but not to worry, I won't bore you with the specifics of the art I practice. Suffice to say it does involve steel. Oh yeah, I do not go to clubs anymore. I read a wide range of books like a freaking sponge and have a eclectic taste in music. Everything from Peter Gabriel and Metallica to Beethoven and Moby. Other than that, please show me the same respect you would expect for yourself. By the way, I'm in the process of growing out my hair just to give ya'll a heads up. It was long once before and I cut it for all the wrong reasons. Well, I've decided to brave the journey again.
By the way, if you can identify the quote at the top, you get 2,000 cool points! Now I would really love to find someone who can camp the way I do. I really rough it. If you camp with me, expect to get dirty, eat packaged food, do yer business in the woods (yes, TP would be provided!) and sleep in a bag on the ground. Not the bare ground but in a tent. I'm not THAT primitive. But also be prepared to really take a look at the world around you and see for yourself why Thoreau said, "In wildness lies the preservation of the world." I also have a fairly keen mind and I do enjoy a challenging discussion or topic. I will discuss anything and will def give you a run for your money on just about any topic. I'm also a member of the Museum of Science and Industry and I even subscribe to National Geographic.

Someone who is honest is a breath of fresh air. Of course you have to be able to get dirty. My perfect companion would be comfortable in jeans, a T-shirt, maybe even a baseball cap and hardly any make-up. I know, shocker right?
