| | I'm on this site for the exact same reasons that you are (unless they're creepy or bad ones, I'm not down with that). Way back in my younger days, I focused too much on school and kinda missed the boat on being social. So yeah...I got an education, but went to the next phase of life clueless about the "real world". When I actually hit this "real world", I got rocked a bit. After some bumpy years and good life lessons, I found my niche and now work is no longer an issue. So here I am: education is a go, job is a go, but social life is a no-go 
So yeah...here I am trying to rectify the situation. Ummmm truthfully, "trying" is probably too strong a word. I made the account but in the last while don't really log in (just speaks volumes about how good this profile reads, huh?)
I'm the type of person who doesn't like selling himself. I am more apt to show and prove. Sure that fricken sounds good enough to get me a pat on the back, but is it practical in the real world? HELL NO! So I suppose I should toot my own horn or something (that sounds so dirty, doesn't it?). OK here's some facts I shall concede:
- I'm funny. I shan't deny it anymore. I REALLY am funny. I can make a believer out of the non-believers. And I don't have to use swear words to convince you either
- I'm witty. When I get going, I can't shut up and will spit out one-liner after one-liner. And they're good ones too!
- I'm smart. By that I mean there are many people dumber than me out there. Doesn't mean there aren't many more SMARTER ones, but I'm not the dullest tool in the shed
- I don't hate chick flicks. This doesn't mean I watch them, but I don't hate them (this is Crooked_A's way of saying he has seen them in the past without fully admitting he has feelings. Just shut up and go with it)
- I'm not ashamed of my age. Look, sometimes I feel like I'm a dying breed or something. Did ANYONE ELSE out there grow up in the 80's or what? Am I the only one on the planet with memories of tv shows, cartoons, music, fashion from that era etc.?? How come everyone acts like the Big Bang Theory happened in the 90's and nothing existed before that? STOP DENYING IT! There's a Goonie inside all of you somewhere.
- I don't mind physics. Ummmm I'm only saying this because I referenced the Big Bang Theory above. I'm not a physicist (not even close!), but I actually have a novice interest in the subject. Go figure I didn't do that well at school in those courses, but I learned to appreciate it later!
- I refuse to say I am "different than the other guys" because that line (and it's many variations) has been said so much that it DAMN WELL MAKES YOU LIKE THE OTHER GUYS NOW. I'll just say I have much in common with some guys, and there are things that perhaps aren't so common with most. That's just my humble opinion though.
- I'm honest. I get a lot of flack for this, actually. Mostly because people think I'm too self-deprecating. I just speak it how it is sometimes, even about myself. If you can't be your own toughest critic, who else will? And no, I don't have confidence issues!! Maybe we have to do some white lies here and there to spare people's feelings, but I'm not into wheeling and dealing, or selling myself as something I am not.
- I'm not changing my user name or making another account. Suuuure it's not the best name out there, but I chose it and am sticking it out till the bitter end! Oh and I guess after writing that, I must also add:
- I'm stubborn at times. See the last line hehe. I'm not a monster or anything, but I have certain beliefs that I won't easily compromise on. You should debate me sometime! |

Probably go somewhere that was well lit, had plenty of exits and/or fire escapes, and filled with people. You know...that way we both have ways out, and you can't harm me because there would be plenty of witnesses around. Hey this IS the internet after all 
OK sorry I'm being an idiot. Probably something simple like coffee and/or drinks and/or food (or all 3 if you feel adventurous) so we could see if there's some connection there, or are you likely to find one of those many exits!? |
