About Me
Favorite quote: "when God cause all kinds of trouble - people say he works in mysterious ways. When I do it people say I'm just a d*ck!"

Getting older, feeling younger ... hard to describe myself these days. Casualty of the divorce wars but over and done with them years back. Enough years single to have left the baggage behind, but not so many that I've forgotten how to live. Jack leg engineer, artist, wannabe know it all, and biggest idiot I know sometimes. A few short lines can't possibly do me justice. I am truly what could be called a jack of all trades - although I have mastered some. For now lets just say I'm stable, happy, and NOT trying to keep up with the Jones' Tell ya more once I get to know you.

In warm weather you can find me tramping trails all over the region. Trying to explore caves and relearning the art of rock climbing. Winter usually finds me hibernating with some wine, cooking too much for one person to eat, and sometimes picking at the guitar or reading a good book. I even make the occasional foray out into winter wonderland, or is that frigid wasteland? I never can quite tell. I do love snow - just hate the cold that goes with it.

Any time of the year could find me in live music clubs, karaoke bars, even the occasional dance spot - but those aren't my life. I can have just as much fun barbecuing on the porch or lazing around a campsite enjoying the wildlife. Movies on the couch with a big bowl of popcorn (there goes my diet again!) are great too.

Of course everything I wrote about above is better when there is someone around to share it with. Could that be you?

Now for the not so good things! I am a smoker. So if your profile says you don't - I probably won't send a message. If you are a non smoker and you think someone who smokes and is willing to at least keep it outside is something you can handle and nothing else puts you off - drop a line. Otherwise we'll never get the chance to meet.

Also have to say I love animals and am currently owned by a couple of cantankerous tomcats. I often take care of friends pets when they are away too - so if allergies are a problem I'm not sure you want to be around me.

So, once more - into the breach! That's my dating life these days. I don't have a big long list of criteria on who I want to find anymore. I got past the lookin for barbie stage years ago. I do like my ladyfriends to be independent and free spirited. Which does not mean financially - I'm just not cut out to be a kept man. It only means I expect you to have a life and interests of your own along with a purpose beyond finding someone to take care of you!

It seems the older we get the more baggage we find when meeting others . Mines in the garage where it belongs! Is yours? Do you want to take a chance on finding a partner to walk beside you down what's left of our otherwise lonesome roads? How about just someone to get out and have some fun with while finding out? No matter what we want or where we want to go - we have to start somewhere. Why not take that chance to make the start with me?

First Date
Assuming we've already met and want to go on a date: How about one of these ... a nice restaraunt with time to talk might be OK. A stroll through the museum? Maybe a nice bottle of wine and snacks in the park? I think it's more a matter of what you like ... anything but a noisy bar where you can't think much less talk.
