I have been a full time single father for over 16 years which has helped to make me the man I am today. Although the full time gig is over I still have a part timer, however I do have the freedom to socialize should something arrise. I live a well rounded life and have a great balance between work, children, friends, and activities. Remember, you can't enjoy what you're doing unless you're doing it with someone you enjoy...

Have fun...I guess I need to clarify the "friends" thing. I am looking for more than friendship but I believe you have to begin as friends. I consider the "getting to know someone" phase as building a friendship. It will only make things better down the road if things progress that far. If they don't, at least you have a new friend.
