I'm currently a mechanical engineering student at UT. I'm also about to start my third year of Chinese and hope to someday work there for a time. I think it will be a great life experience!

I really like to make music. I can play the guitar and am currently taking viola lessons. There's just something about taking a melody that you love, putting your self into it, and making the melody come alive from your own hands. To be able to make something beautiful at will is a great pleasure.

I dig reading, thunderstorms, and watching a good movie. I'm not the partying/clubbing type of person. It's just not appealing to me, especially since I don't like drugs or alcohol.

For such a homebody I guess I'm a bit adventurous; I enjoy flying airplanes and riding my motorcycle (dual sport, not crotch rocket: give me a slow backwoods dirt road any day). Specifically, I like small aircraft including homebuilt WWI replicas. I like to explore, everything. I really like flying model planes/helicopters.

I also devote a good bit of time to my dog and his Frisbee. When I have the time I like to go fishing, spend a day in a good book, and generally just doing something that creates good memories. I am also hopelessly addicted to Wikipedia. I look up one innocent thing and an hour or two later I realize I've read up on 20 different things. They shouldn't put links within the articles :(

I idolize courtesy and kindness, also known as tact.

To be so polite, I can be pretty stubborn and don't react well to intimidation or someone trying to push me around. I am not shy in a crowd although when left to my own devices I generally keep to myself. I seem to have great people skills; people just seem to like me, even when it would seem that they wouldn't. Still, I find it hard to maintain my enthusiasm with most people. Most people just talk about TV shows, cars, etc. That stuff just puts me to sleep.

The people I'm attracted to make my brain work and the best way to do that is to make me curious about you. Something unique about yourself or even something that's just weird. I like odd. They don't want you to know but most people are odd, deep down. Be yourself, embrace what makes you unique, and share it with me. You do that and you will have my full attention: bright eyed and bushy tailed. If you don't, no amount of hotness will help you. I speak from experience.

Despite the fact that my profile likely reads like a stereo manual, I'm a very silly person. I laugh alot and cause everyone around me to laugh. It's a gift.

How about a trip to the zoo or a live performance of some kind (and not a death metal concert, something a bit more relaxed)? Although if she (you) have a preferred hobby I would try to incorporate that somehow. Perhaps you like painting so I would plan a picnic somewhere that has some beautiful views, etc and you could show me how it's done. There is a nice walkway down by the river next to UT campus with the boathouse restaurant.
