I started out with PoF passionate to find a long-term companion for friendship and romance ... now? well, I don't know ... maybe it really IS a path instead of a destination ... I really WANT that destination, tho!!!

Full Disclosure: by "long term," I mean I want to have a special man to be with ... by "does not want children," I mean I love kids but DO NOT want to CREATE any MORE! a "social drinker" in my case is maybe 6-12 drinks a year! "no drugs" means no ILLEGAL drugs! cuz I have prescription meds and really enjoy a nice, steaming hot cup of caffeine occasionally!! ...

if I missed anything else that seems vague, just ask ... I'm really open to discussions! ok ... THAT's out of the way!

sadly, my mountain bike, snow shoes, camping gear, etc. are covered with dust ... I've concluded that I shouldn't do those things ALONE ... last time skiing, I broke my arm! last time I rode my bike, I took a header over the handlebars!

I'm sort of a klutz and prefer to be WITH someone who can help me up ... once he's stopped laughing!!

I enjoy reading and/or watching lite mysteries/comedies: "House," "Mentalist," "Lie to Me," "Monk!" ... I think Janet Evanovich's Stephanie Plum novels are Great! I have been known re-read Agatha Christie's mysteries, the Bronte sisters' books ... I truly enjoyed the "Harry Potter" books and movies and have spent many hours discussing plots and special effects with my grandkids!

I should admit that I've been somewhat addicted to the Plenty of Fish FORUMS! especially the "Cooking" site! as a creative cook, I'm hoping to meet someone who's an enthusiastic EATER! my 1st loaf of bread with my new machine had sun-dried tomato, rosemary and a crusty French crust ... I'm currently creating a baked French style cinnamon toast recipe ... or maybe it'll be bread pudding!

I love to write, mostly children's books, trying to teach moral lessons (but SUBTLE, of course!), usually do my own illustrations ... won a prize years ago for a lymeric I wrote about a plastic surgeon ...

noble and romantic gestures are not lost on me - passionate and altruistic jousting at windmills never goes out of style!

am drawn to enthusiasm, solid egos, whimsy, creativity, a sense of humour, laughter, smile wrinkles! ... I have a definite weakness for upbeat and positive attitudes, artists, writers and musicians!

for a meet-up "1st date," something easy, breezy, simple - to get acquainted and check out the sparks! maybe coffee or mint tea and walk thru some antique stores, seeing what piques an interest! antiques are fabulous conversation starters!
