Hello, thank you for stopping by my little corner of the vast internet.

Let me introduce myself.

I was born in St. Louis and moved away after I graduated. I have lived in several interesting places ranging from a desert to a swamp from a small town to Chicago. I am a research scientist, a curious type fascinated by most everything interesting. I work in a range of different scientific fields and if you are curious I would be happy to describe my research if you ask. I have spoke at local schools and library on my work studying stars with microscopes. But back to my travels, a research position opened in St. Louis a couple years ago so I decided to return. Before I returned to St. Louis, I lived outside of New Orleans. Several weeks before the moving company was scheduled to move me,
a hurricane decided to cross Florida and head straight for me.  I do mean straight for me. Hurricanes usually die out after crossing Florida, but this hurricane had other plans. I didn’t feel like uninvited quests so I left town. Katrina must have decided it was no fun to trash my place while I was away and I was spared. However, she partied hard at many other people’s houses and left a really big mess.

I try to keep in shape and ride my mountain bike into work during the good weather.  In the summer, on the weekends I can be found on the bike trails. I enjoy to travel and have been to a number of interesting places either on vacation or for work. I have been to Russia, and have had several extended visits to Japan.

I think of myself as a standard average guy.  I enjoy movies, restaurants, and such. I have a number of hobbies and keep busy all the time. I avoid drama many people get caught up in and am fairly relaxed. I can be goofy at times which is good for balancing out my serious work. I like animals and I make a good pet for cats and dogs. In fact, several cats have adopted me as their pet. I think the neighbors cat is trying to adopt me too. I always stop to help a turtle cross a road.

I am looking to find a special woman to spend time with and let some dust settle on me.  Finding that right person is like looking for a rough diamond in a stream bed. You have to look through a lot of gravel before you come across that diamond.
