Hey! What happened to my music on here? Did they eliminate that feature?

I traveled to the Caribbean this past February and my goal is to be able to spend considerable time exploring the many islands there. If this appeals to you, great! We should talk. I am going to be working very hard towards this goal in the next few years.

I am also working hard to get in shape. This means I go to the gym 4-5 times a week, as time permits. Soon I will be able to change my Body Type from 'a few extra pounds' to 'athletic'.

I place a high value on family. My [grown] kids mean the world to me and there isn't much I wouldn't do for them.

I am a morning person in that I wake up ready to go. I don't take two hours for my brain to start working but I'm not like the farmer's wife in Babe - start twittering on about everything as soon as my eyes pop open.

I love to read; in the sunshine with a good book is as near to perfection as I can get in this world. If on a beach and the sand is white and soft and the water warm then that pretty much is where I'd like to stay. Or anchored in a sheltered cove .... life doesn't get much better than that.

I work hard while work is required, but I can do nothing with the best of them when work is done. I like to cook if it is a shared experience but alone in the kitchen while everyone else is having fun in the living room isn't my idea of a good time. Then I'd just rather eat out.

My 'baggage' has been sorted through, reduced, and reorganized. Or in two words, dealt with.

I am not good at games. Any sort. I am not a strategist and the best I can do in a board game is come in third unless it is the first time I have played - I have amazing beginners luck. I don't play head games. I am very much a who you see is who you get person and I have a lot of young friends because they like it that I 'keep it real'. I won't sit across from you and try to impress you. I will just be myself and if you don't like what you see, that's ok. Not everyone has to like me; I certainly don't like everyone I come across. That doesn't mean I am abrasive or mean - quite the opposite. It is in my nature to be fun, friendly, outgoing, and inquisitive. One person I met told me that I had the gift of living in the moment. It's true. I savour life and enjoy the here and now. I am not a cup half full person. I am a cup overflowing person.

I love to laugh loud and I sneeze loud.

I love music and movies.

I enjoy going for a walk. Hikes - no.

There are things I have never done that I am willing to try. Having said that, I don't ski and have no desire to. Nor will I rock climb, jump out of airplanes, or do the Grouse Grind.

So many people on here have such a list of requirements before they will even go out for coffee with someone: athletic, independent, financially secure, fit, long hair, short hair, not balding, blah, blah, blah. Guess what... those things can change in a heartbeat: they are fleeting, superficial, have nothing to do with the heart. If that is all you care about, then we have a very basic difference in values and it would never work. What I am looking for are the things that define a man... reveal his character. I don't care if you have a paunch, if you are bald, or if you have fallen on hard times. I do care that you have a sense of adventure, a good sense of humour, and a desire to travel the Caribbean - maybe even live there part of the year. If you are interested in sailing or living aboard, more the better. I plan to take sailing lessons to prepare for this possibility as I would like to eventually own my own catamaran and live aboard while in the Caribbean. I don't know if it will happen but I like to believe it will. And I can dream, can't I?

I am looking for one man to spend some free time with.... getting to know one another. See if there is a mutual spark. I will admit that I am a traditional woman in that I feel a man provides protection and security for the woman he loves; I admit to wanting to be cherished and cared for. And I don't believe in living together without marriage so if you are one of those fellows who has sworn off of marriage, I am not your woman. I am looking for one man who knows what he wants and possesses integrity, kindness, and a big heart. I am not looking for a perfect man, just the man who is perfect for me. I have a lot to offer the man who captures my heart, and it just might be you.

I will say that if you can't construct a sentence without expletives, we won't get along. Also, if you like wearing those big, loose shirts with flames or dragons on one side.... not going to do it for me. The type of fellow who likes that attire is made up of different stuff than I am and it definitely won't work out. If you have anger issues, please pass me by.

Animals? I am not into anything with more than four legs, no legs, or with four legs that weighs more than I do.

I want to see more ISLANDS!! And I will relocate gladly to a warmer climate... Palm Springs... was just there and LOVED it. I am cold and hating the rain and frost of the north. Yes... I will relocate to the right place for the right man!

It's winter so cozy up in a coffee shop with comfy chairs and a fireplace or dinner at a cozy pub... either would be lovely.
