Thanks for taking a moment of your time to read my profile, I shall endeavour to make it worth your while.

Minor Note Oct 29th 2009: The Chin Whiskers Experiment is at an end for the foreseeable future, hence I've swapped my main image for one of my older clean-shaven ones because that's what I look like again now. Ladies just don't seem to dig facial hair.

What I am:
* A calm & reliable diplomatic straight-shooter. White collar professional by day, athlete/martial-artist by night.
* A simple, Canadian-born, Westernized domestic black male - University educated (M Eng), gainfully employed, and 100% Ebonics/slang free. I used to wear a gag shirt calling myself the "New & Improved Domesticated Negro"

What I am NOT:
* A "thug", bad boy, playa, baller, or whatever ebonics the youngin's use these days. I prefer the controlled violence of my martial arts ring.
* A man of excess - I've dedicated the last half of my life to physical fitness, and hence chain-smoking and/or "mind-expanding" substances are things I typically pass on (though some gin & tonic while dancing is sublime). I don't judge those that do, but getting my stomach pumped was just never my thing.

Where I'm at in life:
Self-reliant/subsisting eligible bachelor born & raised in Montreal but moved to Toronto years ago for my career. I've settled into the typical tools & devices of the young professional lifestyle (home ownership, wheels, etc.). I met and exceeded my dream by obtaining my 2nd Dan in karate this year, and continue to train, teach and grow as part of my karate community organization.

Where I'd like to be:
Pretty much where I'm at now, but with a pleasant female companion by my side for some of life's highlights. Karate hermitage does teach one the value of company...

What I like in a woman:
Grace, confidence tempered by humility, wit, a balanced lifestyle, active living, and of course to some extent physical beauty... That's always a tough one to define, I know it when I see it - but my past modus operandi usually leans slightly towards the slender/toned side of the spectrum, but should by no means be mistaken for "total lack of curves"... (No ill-will to the lovely plus-sized ladies out there though).

I subscribe to the "Meet earlier rather than later" camp because it helps settle the chemistry issue and save us both time. I love sporting activities but only impose them upon the willing, so more low-key 1st outings are still on the menu.
