You could view a relationship like a pizza. You can look long and hard and try to find that certain person who likes all of the same toppings that you like. But things work better if you order your half how you like it and I order my half how I like it. Now, we can have fun eating pizza together.

Some people view the "glass" as half full and some view it as half empty. For me, it depends on how thirsty I am. It also depends on what we are pouring in the glass. Also, I am a firm believer that one of the most important periods in our life is RIGHT NOW!

I think my greatest strength is when I get down, my mind kicks into high gear. I start thinking of ways to handle a problem, restore my motivation or to simply “bounce back” from whatever it is that is bothering me.

I was born in the Hoosier state and grew up in the Mountain state. Bonus points for those who know which states these are. I like hot coffee in the morning, love cats, enjoy almost all movies and I’ll take a back massage anytime I can get one. I do not spread gossip, but I do like to listen. Family and health are important to me. I go and visit my mother once a month without fail. She still lives in the same house that we moved into when I was six years old. I usually have a list of “fix it or move it” items when I arrive. My father is deceased and I do not have any siblings.

I exercise and keep the junk food to a minimum. On the other hand, I do like junk food. I floss daily. Drugs are not cool with me. I am not a picky eater and I am even known to display a little culinary skill myself. Although you might make good chili, I am sure it is not near as good as mine. I am a believer in improving myself continuously both on the job as well as in my personal life. I find my work both thrilling and challenging and my career has moved me a few times.

I have lived in Roanoke, Virginia, Raleigh, and the Charlotte area. As for fun, there is what I like to do and do regularly and then there is what I like to do but never seem to get out and do anymore. I lift weights and ride my bicycle regularly. Outside of that, I am flexible and I just make the most of my options. I tend to stay busy, happy and interested. I also like to play poker for nickels and dimes. I am not a high roller though. Do you gamble? I own my own darts and for all you pool sharks, I have been known to pick up a stick. I am not any good at either one, but I have fun. I have been to wine tastings and found the relation of each wine to certain food quite interesting. It was kind of like chemistry which I will talk more about later. Now, I prefer to have wine picnics. I went whitewater rafting five years in a row and would like to go again. Years ago, I took jujitsu lessons and competed in some judo tournaments. It was a great learning experience and I might resume. So, if you are looking for a man who can “sweep you off your feet”, keep reading. If my charm doesn’t do it, I know a few moves that might.

When it comes to children, I believe that the apple doesn’t fall far from the tree. If I like you, I should like your children. I do have a Santa Claus suit and I go and visit the little kids in my mom’s neighborhood. Chemistry is important and I have a good chemistry story for anybody who asks. One time, I met a girl from the Internet. After so many dates, she gave me her cat. He is great and I love having him. The moral of the story is that you can find love on the Internet.

I prefer to meet someplace where we can talk, laugh and hear each other. First dates are about having fun and getting to know each other.
