Hello,

It seems we’ve swum into each other, so let’s see if we’re compatible. If we were fish, the dating game would be much less involved I think, and I would just be describing myself as “male fish” and you as “female fish” before engaging in an awkward underwater mating dance. Luckily, we have more to look forward to.

I am a compassionate, open-minded guy driven by challenges and new experiences. And so, I have many interests in all areas of life, from athletics and staying fit, to music, dance, and design. When I’m not sweating over my latest design endeavour, I enjoy exploring English Bay on my sailboat, going on hiking adventures, or playing jazz trumpet and learning the guitar. I am looking for someone who is passionate about living a fulfilling life, and who has similar personal values of intelligence, integrity, and family. And, like food, water, and air (almost forgot that one), I need laughter and am attracted by a good-humoured girl who loves to smile and poke fun at life, or when I mess up a swing dance move.

I moved to Vancouver last May after graduating in Industrial Design from Carleton University in Ottawa (don’t shoot, I grew up in Kelowna before leaving for school, and am a true BC boy at heart). I enjoyed many icy winters skating on the Rideau canal with a frozen maple syrup stick in one hand and a Beavertail in the other, whizzing by pick-up hockey games organized under the lights of bridges overhead. I have yet to do anything “more Canadian”. My time in Ottawa pushed both my ‘challenge’ and ‘new experience’ buttons, and I’m looking for “somebody special” here to find those buttons and push them.

This could be an elaborate description of a sunset candle-lit dinner on a secluded beach near Kits, but I'm afraid you'll have to wait until date number two for that. Let's meet for a coffee or dinner and go for a walk in a park or at the beach. Meeting someone new and sharing good conversation is exciting and best achieved in a casual setting.
