I've been off and on this site for several years, and been blessed to have made some wonderful friends. I've decided to focus my energies on some new endeavors, thus I won't be hanging around the pond much.

I am a confident and independent gal who prefers taking the road less traveled, versus the beaten path. A bit old-fashioned, I have a great appreciation for the lost art of chivalry. Although I am totally self-sufficient, there is something to be said for a man who takes a moment to open the car door for me, or help me with my coat.
I love the outdoors, especially the warmer months. It's the place where I can be at peace with myself, have my alone time with God, and enjoy the beauty of nature. In seasonable weather you will find me on my motorcycle, taking the back roads more often than the interstate, yet I will always stop to smell the roses.
My taste in music is varied. I listen to everything from Toby Keith and Michael Buble to Pink and Creed. I love a good concert, as much as I do Saturday night karaoke.
I'm very spontaneous, adventurous, and impromptu. One weekend you'll find me with my friends in Des Moines at the Funny Bone comedy club, and possibly the next, off to Kansas City to Oceans of Fun, or Worlds of Fun, or St. Louis for either a Cardinals baseball game, or a Rams football game. I love a day at the zoo, a picnic in the park, or an afternoon tubing, boating, jet-skiing, or para-sailing. And if you are up to the challenge, I'll match you on the bowling lane, or the pool table. Pick your poison.

A true chameleon, I am as comfortable in jeans and a sweater, or shorts and a T-, as I am in stilettos and stockings, flip-flops, or bare-foot. I can socially adapt to whatever the situation calls for.

I'm a shorty...five foot nothin', but don't let the height fool you. Dynamite comes in small packages, and nitro in even smaller. I'm neither anorexic, nor am I obese. I do my best to take care of myself, but I'm far from perfect. I call myself a work in progress, as it is taking me a long time to become the person I want to be. As for my age, I am 49. My age is posted incorrectly.

My match would be a man who is self-confident, playful, intelligent, and sexy. He's adventurous, open to trying new things, and thinking outside the box. He's funny, yet serious when the situation calls for it. He is family- and career-oriented. He works hard, and plays even harder.
I am a social drinker, defined as "occasional." I don't drink on a daily basis, nor do I feel the need to get my drink on every weekend. However, I do enjoy sharing a bottle of wine, or having a drink or two from time to time.
