I'm an outgoing individual who is open and HONEST. I don't play games. I'm athletic, and I love the Bears, Cubs, Hawks, and Bulls in that order. I also understand the sports, so you won't have to explain it to me. I enjoy playing sports as well and the outdoors; snow skiing, boating and camping etc. (not into hunting) I am a Big animal lover, especially dogs and horses; and an accomplished equestrian. I love theatre and music, my friends and I spend time at Ravinia every summer. I listen to classical, jazz, blues, rock, reggae, country, not a lover of heavy metal or rap.

I am just as comfortable curled up in front of a fireplace with a good book, as I am in large groups, or crowds. Quite independent, and don't really sweat the opinions of others; Unless of course it is someone whose opinion I value. That said, you can't please everyone all the time. My dad always told me that you have to stand for something in this world, or you'll fall for anything. And to never be afraid to speak out, even if yours is the only voice in the woods. As long as I know all is right between myself and GOD/Universe, I'm good.

I'm looking for a truthful, real man to share my life with. Friendship is very important as well. The kind of guy who's not afraid to make a fool out of himself for his girl. I have natural long blond hair, and blue eyes. I can be serious, but also like to goof around and have fun. My group of friends has been by my side for MANY years. Friends are the family we choose for ourselves. All of my friends' kids love me too; I think that's because I have never lost my sense of whimsy and magic.
I have a dog that I love dearly. She and I spend time at the beach regularly. She's my sweetheart.
I'm your basic "girl next door" "Carole Lombard" "Doris Day" type (if you know old films, you'll understand) I was even a Girl Scout.
I have also been a volunteer for Habitat for Humanity, and Northern Illinois Special Olympics Tennis in the past.
Just so you know though, my halo is held firmly in place by the two devil's horns that support it.

Life is about shared moments, and creating wonderful memories. There are no dress rehearsals. You have one time around, so take your turn, and make it good.

For a first date, I would prefer to meet for coffee, and talk. I'm looking for something long term, however I do not want to rush into anything. Better to take the time to really know a person before anything moves to the "next level".
This is all rather new to me, and the first time I have ever done anything like this. My college sorority sister (my best friend) suggested I try this, so here I am. I'm not a big cyber junkie so this is somewhat different, to say the least.
