Hi! I'm an idealist looking to enjoy life with someone worthwhile. I love music (I have sung professionally) and I love to cook. I have a great passion for animals and for adventure. I have two cats, whom I adore. I work in the veterinary field and run my own photography business on the side.

The small things in life are what make things exciting and I thrive on trying to find those things every day. I like to be playful as well as mature, and yes, I have tons of stuffed animals (mostly cats). Kids enjoy life for a good reason, and I can sometimes be found perusing the toy section of the store, or ordering a Happy Meal at McD's just for fun. I don't mind going out in old jeans and getting muddy on a nature hike, or dressing up and going out on the town. The venue is not important, it's the company. I'm somewhat old fashioned about romance, but not about people.

Relationships take work, but when you give 100%, you get back threefold. I'm particular about certain things (no roses or diamonds, please) and quite open about others (my guy doesn't have to have tons of money or a super job to make him perfect.) I am looking for someone who is open, honest, dependable, and devoted. I love to do spontaneous things, and money is not an issue when it comes to fun - a book in the park is just as nice as a steak dinner (although not as tender to chew!). I love to be surprised, even by the smallest things (a wildflower picked on your way over, or a sticky note with a quick hello).

I enjoy so many things that I am easy to entertain. I could be just as happy watching cartoons as having a deep intellectual debate about quantum physics. I am a very passionate person who stands strongly behind her beliefs and is very loyal to loved ones.

I am looking for a guy that is sincere and full of life. I would like it if he has something he is passionate about -- it doesn't matter to me if it's camping or collecting sci-fi movies, as long as he loves it and is willing to share that joy with me. I don't want to jump right into a serious relationship, as anything worthwhile takes some time, but that's what I want in the long run. He should preferably be able to write and spell with at least a 5th grade grasp of grammar and language. If he is an eloquent speaker/writer, so much the better.

It's not absolutely necessary, but I would prefer someone who has not been married, and who doesn't have any kids of their own yet. (I know, I know, that's a tall order -- but you're out there somewhere, right??)

"What would I do on a first date?" is a difficult question. I think it has to be tailored to both people involved, not just me. That aside, if I could have my perfect first date, I think it would start out with a trip to the zoo or the museum, punctuated by a picnic lunch on the grass. Next would follow with an afternoon at a carnival, enjoying rickety fair rides and eating street vendor food. The whole day would be finished up watching fireworks under the stars. Of course, that can't happen everyday, but this is an ideal thought, right?
