I don't believe in screening people for things like hobbies, musical taste, or aspirations. Wouldn't one be pre-excluding someone they might enjoy being around, shutting out new and different perspectives and experiences ? Why not just speak to people and find out the "old fashioned" way through conversation. Starting with messages and the phone followed by..... basically see below.....

I think a good first date would be going out early in the day to shoot pool or darts. Something fun that would allow for conversation and the chance to see if a second date is something either people want.
