I am a fun-loving, easy going, and very social guy! I am moving back to Gainesville after being away for the past year. I just landed a job as a professor at UF and am really excited to be returning to the Sunshine State! I have had a great summer spent in Houston, Texas in which I have been close to family and have made a bunch of new friends! A year ago I entered into a Ph.D. program in Mississippi and had planned on being there for another 3 years. Well, the program thankfully did not work out and, after looking for work in several different areas, I have decided to move back to Gator Country!

I consider myself to be a very well-rounded person in that I can get along with almost anyone and am willing to try my hand at almost anything. I am a fun person who has been that way ever since high school when I was voted "Most Social" in my graduating class! I've evolved and grown over time and now I'd classify myself as a triple threat...looks, brains, and, most importantly, personality. I realize that this may sound arrogant perhaps to some, but I look at this as confidence. My friends consider me to be a very friendly person and I will tell you that I am the type of person who always tries to include others at any time possible. If I am at a party and some people aren't being talked to by many others, I am the guy who goes over and talks to them. I also am the type of person who will talk with anyone whether they are at the checkout counter at the grocery store or a bartender at a local pub. I really enjoy meeting new people and gain energy from this. I am also the type of person who will almost never complain as I feel that although I've had some seemingly bad things happen in the past, I realize that in the grand scheme of things, everything happens for a reason and I really have nothing to complain about as long as I have a "roof over my head and shoes under my feet."

I am looking to date for now, but if things go really well with a woman, I am ready to date them more seriously. Ultimately, I would like to be married and have a family, however, I am not about to rush things and will not settle. I am very open to dating a woman who has children as I love being around kids. I have an awesome time with my nephews and niece and have a close relationship with them. I'm having so much fun being an uncle which I guess is partly because I enjoy kids so much, but also because I am really a kid at heart.

The type of woman I am looking for is one who is well-rounded herself and who likes to try new things. My ideal woman also is very outgoing and friendly and loves meeting new people. She is a great conversationalist and intelligent. In addition, I'd my ideal woman is very active. I enjoy working out and doing things outdoors and would like to be with a woman who also enjoys staying active and fit. Lastly, my ideal woman loves to travel and would be interested in taking one big trip a year either overseas or to a really cool U.S. destination!

I'd like to go out for a nice dinner and afterwards go somewhere where we can talk and really get to know each other. After some talking and drinking, it would be great to maybe shoot a little pool or do a little dancing!
