I moved to Toronto from Halifax a few years ago for grad school. I'm a bit of an amateur photog, so I like roaming around the city looking for interesting scenes - festivals, parks, old buildings. I like reading, especially philosophy and film theory, and taking in movies at a great little independent theater in my neighborhood.

I like to keep in shape. I run and will hopefully be doing my first half-marathon this fall.

I'm a relatively laid back guy. My friends insist I have a hap-hazard zany sense of humour. Granted, I am a bit shy at first, but once I warm up to someone, it's all good.

Ideally, I'm looking for someone who likes affection, enjoys my noble (if failed) attempts at humor, and likes to keep active - new restaurants, art galleries, meeting new people.

To be honest, I'm a pretty transparent guy, and I like that in a partner as well.

Anything where we'd get to talk and get to know one another. Coffee. Walk through some nice part of the city. Even though I love the theater, I don't understand first dates where you just sit silently and establish nothing but strangerhood.
