(I'm not sure how I got the "Serious Member" gold star!?)


I consider myself a fun, easygoing, spontaneous person who takes delight in everyday simple pleasures. Far from high maintenance, I rarely take more than 15 minutes to get ready in the morning. I work a 9-5 government job which can be boring at times, but the flexibility, benefits, and people I work with are amazing.

I enjoy are traveling, being outdoors, trying new restaurants, movies, exercising...and so much more. Oh and at various points during the year, I play football on Saturdays, soccer on Tuesdays, volleyball on Mondays, and softball on Thursdays :)

I have always been an animal lover and can't wait to get a dog some day, but for now my low-maintenance kitty and fish are all I can handle.

My ideal man is fun-loving, sweet, humble, family-oriented, and has a generally positive outlook on life. It is also important that he get along well with my friends, shares my love of nature and the outdoors, and doesn't sweat the small stuff in life. He definitely knows the difference between quiet confidence and arrogance. He also realizes that while I am outgoing and friendly, this does NOT mean that I am going to hook up with him on the first date, because at this point in our lives we are looking for something more.

From a physical standpoint, I really appreciate fit, athletic bodies and guys who take good care of themselves. Although I do enjoy candy on a daily basis, I maintain a pretty decent level of fitness and expect the same from you. Not interested in someone who spends hours playing video games (although I am open to ocassional Wii sports!)

I prefer to meet in person soon after deciding there is a mutual interest in meeting. I don't feel that a lot of back and forth via email, phone, texts is necessary before meeting because to truly get to know a person, it has to be IN person.

My ideal first meeting would be a happy hour or hot chocolate (not so much a coffee fan) - something low-key. I have to make sure you are cool before I bring you around my friends or else endure relentless teasing! I am a strong believer that the best couples really take the time to get to know each other as friends first. If things progress to more of a one on one "date," I enjoy nice dinners w/ wine, perhaps somewhere in the harbor. I absolutely love being in, near, or out and about on the water.
