***First and foremost, I am looking for a Christian man. That is more important to me than any other trait.***

I would like to meet that special someone to enjoy growing old with. But, until we do get old, I want that someone to be ALIVE and willing to live every moment to the fullest. I took my son to salsa lessons this summer and ended up being the instructors dance partner - it was so much fun. I would like to walk, talk, and count the stars, go bowling, shoot pool, go fishing if I don't have to touch the worm, watch a movie while snuggled up on the couch, visit a museum, or hang glide - and about anything in between, once anyways!

At the same time, I just enjoy spending time together - almost anything is okay if you're with the right person. That is truly what I am looking for, someone to share the rest of my life with. I am content with who I am and, basically, with life. I don't need someone, I want someone.

We don't have to leave home to enjoy life and each other. I like passionate discussions over a good meal that we've prepared together. Or being able to say nothing while eating Chinese take out that one of us brought home after work because it has just been one of those days. I am not looking to smother someone or be smothered, but I am tired of being alone. I want to be excited to wake up next to my best friend and him be just as excited to see me at the end of the day. I want to meet the person that makes doing the mundane things in life not so bad because I'm doing them with him. I want to treasure the good times in life and support each other through the bad, because they will come around.

I am an optimist and prefer the same. My tastes in everything are eclectic and I love to learn/try something new. I am not a material person - who you are is important, not what you've collected along the way. Honesty is a must.

I just heard this song and really liked it, I want someone who will follow through - I'm ready for the start of something good that lasts from here on out.

I would expect to have established some sense of compatibility before actually meeting someone. Therefore, the perfect first date would be doing something fun for both of us and the opportunity for good conversation. I would be as happy to ride around and stop for a picnic as I would to have a nice dinner and go dancing (which I don't really know how to do, but am a willing learner.) It doesn't matter as long as there is the opportunity for good conversation. I like to talk, but I like to listen just as much.
