Hi,

I am a 29 year old software manager, currently working in online web, games and mobile development, and I'm basically looking to meet people in the area.

I've been rather missing out on the social life since starting work in Winchester a few years back. I would love to have more opportunities to go out places, maybe travel a bit and get to take photos of something a little more exotic than the neighbouring family of squirrels. Unfortunately most of the people I have met locally have already settled down, and there seems to be a serious shortage of single blokes here.

I'm not your typical programmer, but from the moment I discovered I could form whole 3D graphically-vibrant virtual worlds and dynamic evolvable websites purely using lines of code I became fascinated by the field :)

My handful of interests/activities include socialising, sports, travel (one day), watching movies, music, photography, programming, technology and just generally having a laugh. (and no, I like 'real life', the outdoors, socialising and keeping active so I am definitely not a gamer by the way ;)

Music-wise I have varied taste, but can never resist a lil Metallica - 'I Disappear', The Offspring, ****cat Dolls, Rihanna, No Doubt, Nickelback, etc. (Btw. Love the censoring there POF ;)

At the moment I tend to spend my free time volunteering for web projects for charities and start-ups, as it keeps me busy and means I don't have to resort to watching TV to fill the weekends (aside from a little House, Heroes and Lost that is ;)

I am quite random, optimistic, easy going, active, spontaneous, often fall into the most bizarre topics of conversation for no apparent reason, and love a good laugh; my sense of humour tends to vary between upbeat random and dry (depending on the mood) and I'm definitely more of a Tigger than an Eeyore :)

So I'm mostly looking to meet new people, to see if I can find any single, outgoing guys in the area (that ideally wouldn't class themselves as excessively negative, insecure or shy) and who also have too much time on their hands :)

I've had a few people message me asking why I'm not 'looking for love'. On the one hand I think you need to find friendship first and see where things go from there, and on the other, you'll find I'm not looking for Walt Disney or the abominable snowman either ;) *grins*

Nb: I tend to log on and check my messages every so often, so I don't always get time to reply straight away :)
Then again, default "Hello", "Hi I liked your profile email me back if you like mine", "Heres a little more about me..", "Fancy a chat?", "Tell me more about you?", or other generic blanket-messages, I tend to presume are not aimed at me and instead that the exact same message has been sent out en masse to the entire female population of this site without looking at the profiles. I guess what I'm saying there is I would rather chat with someone who would like to chat with me than someone playing the odds ;)
