I have a nontraditional job in academia, but when I am off of work I love to go to the lake for long walks and take photographs. I also dabble in the other arts. I have made furniture and worked with wood, recorded my own music, and was involved with writing and publishing years ago. I enjoy exploring ethnic neighborhoods and food and taught ESL when I first moved to Chicago.

There are a lot of things to do in the city. Walking and pleasant conversation is a nice way to introduce onself. I live near North Pond and Diversey Harbor so walking to the zoo is always a possibility. Ethnic dining is enjoyable as well.
