Well, thanks for dropping by to take a look at my dating profile!

On my free time I like to help others with home projects, do volunteer work, or just hang out with friends doing something relaxing like watching a movie, going to a restaurant we’ve never been to before, walking and discovering parts of San Francisco and its history, visiting museums…just simple stuff like that.

What do I look for in a potential date, you ask? Well, I’d be lying if I didn’t initially at least look for some physical attractiveness. Beyond that, I do look for strength of character, a pleasant personality, a good sense of humor, someone concerned about the environment (and does something about it), someone who likes to eat healthy, but also knows when to splurge, someone that feels just as comfortable going on a hike as cozying up to watch a DVD movie. I would also like to think that this special someone would like to do things to make me happy just as much as I would like to do things to make her happy. It could be as simple as saving me half a bag of peanut M&M’s, just because she knows I like them. Being able to express and communicate to me everything that’s on your mind is important to me also. How else can a good relationship grow and thrive, unless there is good communication both ways? Anyways, I don’t want to get too deep…we can save that for later. I'm very affectionate and hope you are too!

Here's a little insight and story into my personality:

I remember back when I was in elementary school, my teacher took our class to the U.S. Mint on a field trip. I saw a lot of things, but two things that stood out were the solid gold bars stacked one on top of the other behind what was probably bullet proof glass, and the other was when our tour guide showed us a large mound of darkish looking sand. The tour guide then proceeded to explain that the mound of sand used to have gold pieces in it and that it was all taken out, but that we were free to look at, touch it, and if we found any gold that we could keep it. After hearing this, the whole class was excited to closely examine and try to find any gold that may actually still be left in the dark mass of sand. I wasn't close enough to the sand to actually touch it (there were too many kids in front of me), but I could see from just a step or two away that there was a glint in the sand! I thought it might be just the way the light was shining on the sand, but I looked at the glint from different angles and it kept shining. Anyways, I decided that the glint was probably a gold piece and patiently worked my way up to it (through the kids and without jumping up and down with excitement, so as not to draw attention to myself and where the gold piece was), and just as I was about to reach for it, someone else discovered it and grabbed it before I could! I was really disappointed, but as I think about this story today, I'm happy for the girl that found the gold piece before I did, because she was happy to find what she was looking for. What's this story got to do with me (and hopefully you)? Well, I'm searching for someone on this dating website in the hopes of getting me off of it and to start a friendship that hopefully will blossom into a truly wonderful relationship. I'm looking for something that is definitely more precious than that little gold nugget
in the sand, and I'm hoping that we'll find each other soon. ;-)
