I have never really been one to be able to easily talk about myself, but I will fill up this box the best I can since its required :) I am an outgoing person but am a little quiet at first, so meeting people at bars has never really been my thing. A friend of mine encouraged me to give this a shot, and I have been single for a little while now, so I though it would be an interesting way to meet new people. I have met some great people thus far, but have yet to find the person that will really grab, and hold, my attention.
I have been told that I have a good sense of humor and am very fun to hang out with, so unless those people were lying to me I will just go with that. I may be over The Big 3-0, but I definitely do not feel it at all. I am a very caring and honest person who you will be glad you met, and will always go the extra mile for those that are important to me. I'm looking for someone to spend time with that will "get me" and understand where I am coming from. At the same time I like people with sharp wit that can keep me on my toes and give me a good teasing, and is ok with taking it in return. A good sense of sarcasm is important, as it always makes things more fun! I also like to hang out with people that aren't afraid to be goofy or show off their inner dorkiness- 'cause I can admit that I have plenty of that.

I am up for doing just about anything if it is with someone whose company I enjoy. I live up to the cliche of enjoying going out to do and try new things, but also like to stay home to relax and watch a movie with someone. As for my movie tastes, I am a big comedy fan, but will watch just about anything. Music is a huge part of my life, but most stuff I listen to is a little obscure. If you are interested in more details on my tastes feel free to ask. I am very close to my family, and have two awesome nephews that I enjoy spending time with. My only addiction is to diet pop. I love breakfast foods, but rarely consume them in the morning. Pancakes at 3 am are awesome! I'm not into watching sports on TV, but enjoy going to games if the opportunity arises, and was raised to be a Cubs fan. I try to work out as often as I can, but prefer getting exercise through activities like bike rides. I like going to the mall and shopping more than your average guy, and really like going for late night walks. I am a big fan of going to Summer fests/carnivals as well. I like cheesey 80s and 90s sitcoms and crazy reality shows more than I probably should. I own a townhouse that I enjoy working on when I get the chance. I put in a new kitchen floor, so that was my latest accomplishment!
I am responsible and have a strong work ethic, but definitely know where to draw the line so that I still have plenty of time for free time and fun. I just started a new position at work in the city, and am really enjoying getting used to my new surroundings. My next goal is to get back to school for a Masters in Education to further my career.
Whew. I guess I didn't have as hard of a time with this as I thought...
At the risk of sounding run of the mill, I feel the best way to get things rolling with someone is to meet up, grab some food or a drink and have some good conversation. If things click we could explore something more involved for an actual 'date.' Other fun activities could include going to a comedy club or something competitive like mini golf is always fun. Just don't feel bad when I beat you! :)
