The first thing you will notice about me is that I know how to listen. I prefer to spend my time with my date talking to her, and not watching TV, or some other event. I want to get to know who it is I am with, and not just an image of her. It is important for me to know who you are.

Second, I am honest, I will not lie to you about much, (OK, the occasional white lie will come in, but that is about it.) Honesty is very important if a relationship is to succeed, without it, all you have is hurt feelings, and I have had enough of that in my life.

I am a one woman kind of man. I am not into dating many people at once, nor am I looking for someone to have a good time with for a little while. I am looking for a long term relationship, something that will hopefully lead to marriage in the future.

As for children, I have none, and I think that was one of the biggest mistakes I ever made. I would like to meet someone that would want to have children, but at my age, I am not sure that will happen. I am open to someone who already has children, and to someone who doesn’t want them.

Who am I? I am intelligent, a requirement for my job. I know a lot about a lot of subjects, and am horrible at trivia. My job is basically in communications, so I know how to express myself. I worked hard in the past; I started my own business that has become successful over the years. I own my own home, pay my bills on time, have all of my own teeth, and try not to harm any living creature. (I am not a vegetarian, by just existing, we harm other living things. The only way to avoid this is to stop living.)

Hobbies include, building things, reading books, figuring out how things work, digging in the yard, cooking great food, and playing with gadgets. I know what ganache is, and my stand mixer has flames on it.

What am I looking for? Someone I can have a conversation with. Not a party girl, I like to go out and enjoy myself, but not all the time, I would like some alone time with my date. A sense of humor would be good, I like to tell some pretty awful jokes at times, so I need someone to appreciate them. A willingness to travel, see the world, I have the time and money to do this, and would like a travel partner.

I would prefer someplace quiet where I can get to know my date, dinner, and maybe a few drinks.
