I'm really looking to meet new people who are down-to-earth, unique, and open to new adventures. Aside from my work in IT I like watching the Canucks and UFC, working on my culinary skills, and playing sports like tennis and softball.

It's really important for me to find someone who is truly happy with themselves and doesn't need to feel like they are living up to someone else' expectations. It's more important to me if someone is honest and open about their feelings than playing guessing games. As you might have guessed, I'm not into games.

So while you might say I don't exactly go with the flow always, I still looking for someone who's adventurous and has a sensualness about them. If going out on a Saturday night is your thing I'm all ears, but if you're the quiet type that likes to spend an evening together at home I'm cool with that too.

Aside from being a bit quiet at first, once I get to know you I'm sure you'll come to endear my witty brand of humour as I just love to make people laugh.

A first date would be something cas without all the needless expectations as it imposes a sort of expected performance. I would like to start off at a coffee shop just meeting informally. I find this is a good place to meet as if we are both nervous (which is usually the case for me) there are plenty of interesting yet strange looking people coming in and out who could be the fodder of out conversation.
I have to admit, social commentary is something that I particularly enjoy.

We could then go to a small cafe for a bottle of wine and tapas. Maybe a place like the Havana on commerical drive as it has a relaxed and unassuming scene. After that the options are endless, as I tend to believe strongly in a "take it as we go approach." Planning is good to a point, but there's something to be said for spontaniety as well.
