I am trying to find a gal who truly wants to work toward a long-term, committed relationship. I'm hoping that she will be kind, attractive, well adjusted, have a good heart, and be willing to invest time into a relationship. A sense of humor would be great. It would be nice if she were even-tempered, easy-going and an interested listener as well as being a talker. If I had a list of qualities that I deemed esential in a solid relationship, communication would be very high on the list of things I look for.

First dates are meant to see if there is a connection, so I think its best to keep it simple. A cup of coffee or a drink and appetizers. Or maybe a walk could be a great way to get to know each other.
