Although I am often content to be left alone, I realize that life is far more meaningful, enchanting and enriching when you have someone to converse with, to laugh with, to have dinner with, to watch a movie with, or just to share a quiet evening with. I know that physical chemistry is important, but in truth it is the chemistry of mutual respect, of honest communication, and of the bonding of the souls and spirits that will more likely determine the longevity of any relationship.

Whether it is eating at a restaurant, or walking through a park, or watching a movie, or listening to music, or gazing into the stars, I think the purpose of the first date and every date should center around getting to know each other.
