Don't Assume....Communicating is the key to any good relationship. Learn to say what you mean and by all means stick by what you say. Since I have put myself back on a couple dating sites. I have had to caution a few men and have them slow down. This means, they have assumed because I am open for making new friends and dating, that all I want is sex. Well guys that's not me. I am not a prude by any means, but I am not "selling" myself as someones sex buddy. I can not believe there are not men on here wanting the same as me. A good, HONEST, working, loyal friend to go out with, enjoy each others company without the assumption that you will "put out". I don't want to rush into something that I am not sure about. I have made mistakes in trusting too thoroughly in the past and it's cost me financially and emotionally. Is it asking too much for someone to get to know me and learn to like me for me?

I realize that at 51, yes, time is ticking, life is going by quickly and with every year that's a year wasted that I could have been spending it with someone. But, if he's not the right one for me, then it is not going to make either of us happy. I am not going to settle for the sake of settling into a relationship. I am fine being alone, or not dating if I am expected to put out, just because I agree to dinner with a male. I will buy my own dinner, thank you and yours too if that's the case and be done with it. Times have changed for "dating" since I was a kid, and even over the last eight years that I have been single. I've met some real gentlemen, and some total bums. I've met good Godly men and con artists... But what I'd love to find is someone who just connects. I am picky, yes, I know that.

I can be friends with anyone, but if there's no chemistry between the two, then friendship will be all I have with the man. I am attracted to men who are nice to look at too. I know men have their "idea" of the perfect woman... well guys, realize us women do too. If you show up looking nothing like the picture you've posted,... realize that's a lie from the start....if you say you are divorced, be ready to produce the paper, if need be.... Do not lie to a woman, and believe the truth will never come to light...IF you are married... Know that IF you cheat on your wife, you will cheat on anyone... Not many women have a need for a cheater in their lives. Be "free and clear"... no strings that tie you to another relationship...especially heart strings... and for goodness sake... stop assuming because a woman is on a dating site she's only there for sex...Some of us have jobs that do not allow us to socialize so this is a way of meeting new friends... Talk to me, get to know the "wonderful woman" I believe I am... see if we have chemistry and if so... don't move at warp speed to try to have me... build something between us and move slowly, win my trust, laugh with me... hold my hand and one day you may hold my heart...then my body... Just know God is an important part of my life... and I am trying my best to be all I can for the sake of my own soul... Love God, love yourself...and who knows....maybe God will find a way to put us in each others life...

I want a man who can hold me, be honest with me...melt me with a look... just someone who's fun to be with. But be genuine in your search for someone special, not just looking for a friend with benefits...
