About Me
...I hope you're not lactose intolerant because the last part of this word is... dary.
Hi and thanks for taking the time to read my profile. If you've read this far, then you're obviously pretty great, and you might be a fan of How I Met Your Mother. If not, then the beginning of this profile probably strikes you as very bizarre. If you make it to the end and want to send me a message, terrific. If not, no worries.
A few words about me:
I am currently among the thousands of qualified teachers who fight for a tiny number of jobs in Southern Ontario. It would be much easier to land a full-time teaching job in another part of the province or country, but when you're born and raised in Toronto, the idea of leaving behind friends and family to work in Saskatchewan, even for a couple years, is not appealing. Nor does it agree with my value system. In the meantime, I tutor a handful of highschoolers and take courses to improve my teaching credentials. I stay as physically active as my schedule allows, through a combination of softball, curling, pathetic attempts at tennis and basketball, going to the gym and jogging.
I've been teaching myself to play guitar for the last six months or so and it's coming along nicely. I'm still at the stage where F and B chords are my nemeses. Mostly learning acoustic versions of my favourite rock and pop songs.
I love to watch thought-provoking movies like Adaptation and totally ridiculous films like Zombieland. Balance in movies, as in life, is essential.
A few words about you:
Well, after some thought, I deleted the specifics that I look for in women. We all make our shopping lists with the same essentials (fit, intelligent, creative, funny, etc) on there, but we know full-well that there'll probably be something that catches our eye that we never planned to buy. I'd be doing myself a disservice to stick to the essentials on my list when the baker may bring out some fresh blueberry muffins at any moment. I know, an awkward metaphor, but at least I know what a metaphor is, so that should count for something on a site where half the people can't distinguish between "your" and "you're".
First Date
It's not that hard to figure something out that appeals to both people, unless those two people speak different languages, in which case an ability to mime is a valuable asset. To go off on a brief tangent, when you realize that there are online miming instructional videos, you realize that the internet is like your drawer filled with useless things that are good for a brief laugh every 10 years.
