For now I'm looking for an intelligent, pretty and shorter woman, and these characteristics are placed in order of descending importance. That is to say if you aren't short it's not a deal breaker, but if you're not intelligent it's a deal breaker. :) I have had a few smart girlfriends before and I would like to continue the trend, for while beauty is nice to look at, it's hard to have a conversation with a person who loses quiz shows to a box of rocks. Don't get me wrong, I can be as shallow as most men, for if I'm not physically attracted to you as well, I can't pursue a romantic interest. Also as you can see from my interests I can be a wee bit quirky. :D

What I would do on a first date? Hell I have no idea other than to say that I would have to get to know the person first and I would definitely tailor it to the individual that I'm asking out. Usually that involves talking for a while, and then when everyone is comfortable moving on to some other activity. It's why I think the old stand-by of dinner and a movie works out so well; you have the dinner piece where you can regal each other with stories of your prowess or lack thereof in the dating world, your latest conquests and triumphs during your work day and general what have you. Then you go on to the second piece, the movie part. It's an activity that is passive and while you're getting entertained by the screen you can also ruminate over what you have learned from your date and decide from there whether or not to proceed to date two. That's what I think anyway.
