Hi! I'm a local kid grown up. I read the paper and like to exercise at the pool, then go out for a beer and a toke at my friend's place. My current interest is selling off the stuff I've been accumulating for the past decade on Craigslist. Most of the stuff was to build a boat that I'm not getting done, and knowing when to quit is the first sign of wisdom, right? I read a lot and like science and investigating topics with research and experiments. I like thinking and researching independently, then presenting a plan to the team. I don't put a huge priority on social status or accumulating wealth. All the same, I've been rich, and I've been poor. Rich is better. In the past, it's been my choice to go to the beach, take my clothes off in the sun and drink beer. Yesterday, I went for a hike up a stream bed and found a waterfall! The young leaves on the trees wern't thick enough yet to obscure the forrest, and the creek cut through the rocks leaving nice cliff faces with undercuts and pretty layering. I'm selective about who shares my time. There's lots of room in my life for good people, particularly a sexy lady looking for a physical friend now and interviewing for a real partner down the road. Recently, I've been working more, since the opportunity has arisen. This sucks up my free time, so I end up doing less to further my goals, but survival is a goal, and money is a tool for survival. I question a lot of what most people think is normal and smart, and often find it's actually sort of weird and not well reasoned. I make every effort to be polite; it's just easier. I live differently, it's a reflection of my priorities.

I'm redoing this profile and a little has happened. I'm moved back to PoCo, where I grew up. I'm heading to the gym a lot to rid myself of about 10 lbs of flab. After it's gone, I'll recatagorise my body type to athletic. My friend decided, on his 60th birthday, to go on the wagon for a month. I immediately volunteered to join him, so don't expect martinis from Nov. 19 to Dec. 19! Same buddy and I have a mustache growing contest, with judgement day on Dec. 31. I'll post a pic later. I'm teaching myself some piano and guitar, I just started so don't expect a serenade soon (unless it's a capella, I can sing ok). Actually, when I like the song I'll sing my heart out. Better tune it to classic rock, because that's where I know all the words! I'll listen to a lot of stuff, space trance ambiant to bluegrass to house dj. I played video games, but recently got tired of them. Looking for more dates with sexy and smart women.

Y'know, before a date, I'd like to meet for a nosh. Public, well lit, secure enviroment. And we talk and see if we're looking at the same picture of life. I can cook, too. I know my wines, prefering reds from France, Spain and Italy, and Californian Zinfandale (double check the spelling there, if you wish) when it's hot. Coffee is good, too. A while ago I was having a mocha to start the day every work day. Then I started tracking my expenses, and I was spending upwards of a hundred a month on coffee! Get the facts and it might make you think. OK, this wasn't about a first date so much. The colour of a storey is in the rabbit tracks.

So, appetites aside, what do we do on a date? I wanna talk, I wanna know who I'm with, learn about you and tell about me so we can see if we're the real thing or just ships passing in the night. You won't see me without a picture of yourself (that's me in the photo, so ante up!)
