Okay, something about me. I am a simple man. I enjoy simple things. I enjoy simple relationships. I need to know how someone feels about me when I look them in the eyes and when they smile my way.

I'm not the king of romance, but by my actions, you'll never wonder how I feel or if I am thinking of you when you aren't around. Ya' see, it's a selfish thing. I like those eyes smiling at me and I'm willing to be the sort of person who deserves that sorta' thing.

I am a sarcastically witty type person, but, not the joke telling type. Many of my friends only have me around because I make them laugh.

I am very old fashioned when it comes to things like chivalry, honesty, honour and manners. I am very liberal-minded when it comes to most controversial topics. I am one of those people that will be thinking "Does it really matter enough to get all bent out of shape about?"

I intensely dislike incessant arguing and bickering. I am not the type that likes the wild ride of constantly fighting and making up. I like smooth sailing for years at a time.

I am smart. Book smart, street smart. Will Rogers said "A man can learn only two ways, one by reading, and the other by association with smarter people." I read a novel a week. The other part is where you come in. I'm not talking mandatory genius here. It's not a bit about IQ. It's about having a clue and it's about being 'smarter than the average bear'.

I like to talk, to discuss, to learn, to discover, to explore. If I am not in some way expanding my horizons, I'm asleep. Of course, with all that mind expansion, one of my favorite things to do with another is absolutely nothing. It's something I never do. A treat, for short spells, that I like to share with others.

I'm not the judgmental type, but if you tell me a lie, I'll hold it against you. If you do something really rotten and/or mean, I might not be able to forget it. If you have a nasty streak, stay clear of me. I really am topped up right now...

First date is one thing, and first meet is another. First meet should be over a coffee so as to allow for mutual retreat. First date has to involve food and some sort of activity that allows for a lot of chattin'. Pool works for some, harbour cruise, sunset cruise, just walkin' the waterfront, bladin' Lake Banook, bikin' the power line, Peggy's cove, drive to Lunenburg, and the list goes on. For me, it's all about lots of gabbin' and surreptitious looks.
