A Spanish philosopher once warned that mediocrity is to be shunned, but I love the people. An outspoken American woman recently pointed her finger at an oil-enriched king, and I'm just amazed that he sat next to her at all. A popular radio star tells us that poetry is manly strengh-building stuff, and when I read Whitman I feel a universe. I'm just amazed at how poorly I fit into this stuff!

I think with my head. I feel with my soul. I read with my heart, and I live with everything I am. I love you, ethereal though you are not. Somewhere on this God-Almighty-World is the woman with whom I share the stars and the air, and my goal in this little essay is to be found by her and be brought home to what we are and always shall have been in love.

If you feel my hands, you will be safe. If you penetrate my eyes, you will see yourself. If you come to me, I will always have been yours, and we are meant to be.

I do not seek perfection, though I love art. I strive for good, and I do the best I can. As with all others, my life has seen rain and I've been in the sunshine - I am not writing you that my weather may change so much as that we need each other.

I am an average guy. I drive a car, I work as hard as I can, I read what I find, I make music with my hands, and I always have more questions than answers.

I find strengh in beauty, love in the most mundane, and I seek life in your kiss.

On our first date we could be anywhere.
My ideal first date would be the one where you are just happy. Give you some time first, to become thrilled, enthralled, exasperated, intrigued, curious, piqued, inspired, interested, in love, and passionate about me. I'll look at you as my best friend somehow, but on a first date you won't likely be proud to be mine yet. We'll have a sense of a God and good in all of this first date, and we will be happy for our differences as much as for what we have in common as we meet for that first time.
